In the movie, a group of intergalactic gay black men from planet Anus come to Earth in order to wipe out women and establish an all-male gay society.

The film’s name is derived from the 1959 sci-fi horror film “Grave Robbers from Outer Space,” which was originally titled “Plan 9 from Outer Space.”

The 1992 film’s goals have long been a point of contention, with many viewers seeing it as racist and homophobic rather than as a harmless spoof.

Why this movie become popular

A number of sick and racist social media posts appear to be targeting black people. A recent post on the ‘4chan’ message board and a ‘pol’ forum thread are titled: “Don’t Google ‘space movie from 1992’,” which is designed to trick people into searching for content that is not intended for them.

US-based search engine DuckDuckGo was among those who tweeted about the trend, warning its users with advice such as “don’t blindly click on links without looking at the URL.”

This advice is important because unaware users may end up on sites that contain malicious software, viruses or lead to phishing scams. There are also websites that provide racist content, including white supremacist speeches and depictions of acts of violence against people from India, the messageboard post notes.

The Reddit thread discussed how these posts were created with the intention of tricking the public, but it has since been taken down. The racist posts appear on Reddit and 4chan as well as other websites such as 9Gag (which removed the post after it was flagged) and BitChute.

Tero Kuittinen, an analyst with Alekstra, highlighted that this is not a new phenomenon and that bad actors have previously targeted black people.

Our Review and Ratings

A group of aliens (who are homosexual and appear to be of African descent/diaspora) land on earth, astonished to discover that it is inhabited by both males and females.. So they come up with a strategy to arrive on earth and liberate the males from their female rulers. Many sexual and racial jokes follow.

It’s really tough to describe this movie. The story summarizes it accurately, yet the question is if the film is even watchable. On the one hand, it’s mostly infamous for its name rather than for the film’s content.

So, it may be dismissed as just a racist and homophobic film. Is it racist or homophobic if it promotes homosexuality and features black actors? What about the witty, sophisticated humor and references? The name may be a play on “Grave Diggers From Outer Space,” the original title of “Plan 9 from Outer Space”… so there must be some serious film experts behind this.

What’s the deal with that being foreign? Is it intended humor and intent that don’t translate well? I’m not sure. That makes this one all the more of a mystery.

I’m still confused about how to handle this one after three viewings (the film is less than thirty minutes long). It’s amusing, if only in an irreverent way. It has a twist. And it’s certainly one-of-a-kind. If you can get your hands on a copy, I recommend that you watching this short movie.
