The new debit card will have added security features and will allow you to access your funds faster. You can continue to use your current card until it expires. Check the information below.

On April 4, Missouri will begin issuing unemployment payments on a new Money Network® Visa debit card instead of the Missouri Access MasterCard debit card.

If you have an active unemployment claim and are receiving payments on the Missouri Access MasterCard debit card, you will be mailed a new Money Network® Visa debit card to the address on record at UInteract.labor.mo.gov. The change will affect all payments issued after April 4, 2022. All other features of the unemployment benefits program will remain the same.

Missouri Unemployment Debit Cardholders will begin receiving their new cards in the mail at the end of March 2022. Please watch your mailbox for the arrival of your new card. To ensure there will be no delay in receiving your benefits, make sure your address is correct in UInteract or contact a Regional Claims Center.

The Missouri Unemployment Debit Card is accepted anywhere that accepts Mastercard, including online, over the phone, and in-person purchases.

There are no fees to use the Missouri Unemployment Debit Card. Missourians can use their Missouri Unemployment Debit Cards to access their unemployment benefits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Missourians can also check their balance, review transactions, and find ATMs that accept the Missouri Unemployment Debit

Can I stay with my current Missouri Access debit card rather than switch to the new debit card?

No. Missouri unemployment claimants that have a Missouri Access MasterCard debit card will not receive unemployment benefit payments to that card after the new Money Network® Visa debit card has been issued.

Missourians that are currently receiving unemployment benefit payments via Missouri Access MasterCard will automatically be issued the new Missouri Unemployment Debit Card, which is a Money Network® Visa debit card.

Missouri Access MasterCard holders will continue to have access to their account information and funds via the Missouri Access MasterCard website or customer service number until their Missouri Unemployment Debit Card is activated.

How do I use the remaining balance of my old Missouri Access MasterCard debit card?

o you have a Missouri Access MasterCard debit card? If so, you may be wondering what will happen to your card after April 4, 2022. The good news is that you can still use your card to make purchases and withdraw the balance. However, Missouri will no longer issue payments to the card after that date.

So if you have a balance on your card on April 4, 2022, be sure to spend it or transfer it to another account before then.
