Question: Explain why it is not possible to change hereditary conditions?
Answer: Hereditary conditions are ones that you get from your parents. You cannot change them because they are in the body and you can’t get out of them.
Hereditary conditions are conditions passed down through the genes of your parents. These are not possible to change because they are inside of your body and you can’t get them out.
Most people think that if they have a hereditary condition it is impossible to avoid, however, this is not always true. Sometimes hereditary conditions can be avoided with simple changes in diet and lifestyle habits. By taking precautions such as these, the chances of having a hereditary condition may be diminished.
The most common of all hereditary conditions, in terms of variety and number, is heart-related disorders. Heart disease is the number one killer in America today, causing more deaths than any other single category or group, including cancer.
Heart-related heredities are caused when there’s too much fat in the blood. This is caused by eating too many high-fat foods and having an inactive lifestyle, which causes fatty deposits to build up in the arteries surrounding the heart.
One of the most all-encompassing hereditary conditions is cancer. Cancer is so common that it has become the standard for what people think of when they hear the word “hereditary.”
Cancer is caused by cells that reproduce out of control, which leads to the formation of tumors. These are harmful because they are squeezing off normal body function and can cause death if not dealt with quickly.
Skin cancer is one type of cancer that can be hereditary. If your parents or grandparents have had skin cancer at any time in their life, you are more likely to get it yourself. Skin cancers are caused by overexposure to the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays.
A third hereditary condition is mental health disorders. Mental heredities can be broken down into three different types: learning disabilities, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
Learning disabilities are caused by abnormalities in brain function. These problems can be either temporary or permanent.
Bipolar disorder is a problem with emotional regulation, which varies from normal mood fluctuations to manic episodes and bouts of depression. This condition is not curable but it can be treated.
Finally, schizophrenia is an issue that affects the mind’s ability to process information correctly. It is one of the most common psychotic disorders and can be inherited or it can be caused by a traumatic event during childhood development.
There are plenty of hereditary conditions that people should try to avoid. More than just avoiding them for yourself, if you’re thinking about having kids, your efforts could help keep them from getting sick and in the long run, save their life.
